Clements High School is where she went to school and graduated in the year 2000. She earned her degree from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatrical performance. After graduation, she lived in Dallas and joined the founder of Second Thought Theatre. After moving to Chicago for a semester at The Second City Training Center, Tolman moved back to Illinois to pursue her studies in 2009. Career Highlights In 2014, Tolman starred in the debut season of the FX the black comedy crime show Fargo. Fargo was based on the Coen Brothers' film of the same name. It featured Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman, along with Bob Odenkirk. Tolman was recognized for her portrayal of Minnesota the Police officer Molly Solverson. Vanity Fair stated that Tolman "calmly took over" the show. Critics' Choice Television Award Best Supporting Actress In A Movie/Miniseries. Tolman's appearance in the film The Mindy Project, playing romantic novelist Abby Berman for two episodes and was revealed the same day.
